Grassy Knoll & The Magic Bullit wsg Immaculate Machine
2004-06-05

Ye old heritage property converted into a club, Suz's Blues, was host to a great rock show Saturday night. Though the stage maybe cramped and in a corner, the character that this converted home has more than makes up for it. Surprisingly quiet for a weekend show, as by my count there couldn't have been more than 30 people there, it made for a great intimate atmosphere. Immaculate Machine opened the show. Hailing from Victoria B.C. this three piece treated the small crowd to a healthy mix of lo-fi college rock and synth pop. Their sound won the audience over quickly, and even inspired a few slow dances by the older patrons in the bar. Great music, and a lot of fun, Immaculate Machine is a must see their next time through town. If not, find their CD, it's out there. Grassy Knoll & The Magic Bullit took the stage, exchanged a few pleasantries with the crowd, then launched into thier set. Despite having played a show in Toronto the night before, and a few minor sound adjustments during the start of the set, their set was fantastic. The small turn out didn't seem to effect them. As they played to the twenty-odd people as if they were two hundred. A great perfomance, by one of London's local gems.
